This year has been a very interesting one to say the least, and around the globe it is gearing up to be even more interesting over the next few months. One thing I can say is I am extremely thankful to call Australia and in particular Brisbane home. We were not sure what to expect when early April rolled around this year at Enclave Property Group. Even during the height of the lockdown, we continued to persevere with our office remaining open for business as enquiries and sales were still ongoing throughout this time. The investor market practically came to a complete standstill during this period and owner occupier purchases accounted for 90% of all our sales during this period, and continued to do so for most of this year honestly.
Now coming into Christmas, which is usually a quiet period in the real estate industry, we are seeing enquiry increase dramatically and sales still going strong. A late run of fresh listings this summer running well into late December has us all working right up until Christmas Eve this year. Normally by the second weekend of November the market volume has peaked and people are starting to turn their thoughts to Christmas. However, with many interstate buyers still looking for property in Queensland in particular, together with strong market confidence, homeowners are coming to market later this year aware there is genuine demand for property. Enclave alone for this month has sold 8 properties in December, totalling just under $8,000,000. Some of the properties included 2077 Unison, 2128 Unison, 40 Park and 15 Park.
I predict that 2021 will be a bustling year for Enclave Property Group and all real estate in general. We have some great listings that we are taking to the market in January 2021, whereas normally most new listings for each new year come on after Australia Day when everyone is generally back from their holidays and settled back into routine.
Our team here at Enclave are very much looking forward to another busy year in 2021!
From Sharon, Stephanie, Katie and myself, we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Christmas and a very happy and prosperous New Year!
Stay safe, well and happy,
Cameron
